A man who lost his penis in a childhood car accident has lost his virginity at the age of 44 after being fitted with a bionic penis.

Mohammed Abad, from Edinburgh, Scotland, has been without a penis since childhood. In 2012, he was fitted with a bionic penis after doctors approved the procedure.

Now, Abad has finally lost his virginity at the age of 44 to sex worker Charlotte Rose.

“It was great,” Abad told Mirror. “I’ve been waiting for this day since I was 18. But now a big burden is off my back and I’m happy.”

Soon after Abad’s accident, doctors gave him a fleshy tube that was not functioning. In 2012, doctors were finally able to fit him with an 8-inch-long bionic penis.

In the years since the fitting, surgeons have been working on molding Mohammed’s penis using skin from his arm and tubes that will allow him to have an erection.

Mohammed and Charlotte spent several days together before having sex. On their first attempt, the bionic penis malfunctioned, failing to inflate on one side.

However on the second attempt, it worked perfectly.

“When Charlotte saw it for the first time, she was silent and I was a bit worried,” he said. “But then she said: ‘It’s incredible.’”

According to the Daily Mail, the couple’s session lasted nearly two hours. Charlotte was “impressed.”

Mohammed says he would like to have children now that he has a functioning penis.

“I’ve never felt like a full man but now I’m ready for my life to start and I’ve never felt so confident,” he said.
