Hate vs. Hate: KKK Takes on Westboro Baptist Church

Whom do you possibly root for in this battle? The Ku Klux Klan came out to protest against a demonstration by the Westboro Baptist Church at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.

The Westboro folks had their usual signs aout how God hates the soldiers who were killed in action. But about 10 members of the Knights of the Southern Cross, a Virginia group associated with the KKK, held a counter-protest.

"It's the soldier that fought and died and gave them that right to free speech," Imperial Wizard Dennis LaBonte told CNN.

However, Westboro said the KKK has no right to criticize.

"They have no moral authority on anything," Abigail Phelps told CNN. "People like them say it's white power... white supremacy. The Bible doesn't say anywhere that it's an abomination to be born of a certain gender or race."

Though filled with hate, the protests were peaceful and nobody was arrested, reports the New York Daily News.
