Harold & Kumar Star Kal Penn Joins Obama Administration

You may know him as the funny but troublesome Kumar in the Harold and Kumar film series, but Kal Penn now has a new high-profile job, as Barack Obama's incoming Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison.
Penn recently sat down with Rachel Maddow to discuss his transformation from beloved movie stoner to White House official.

I liked Kal Penn in his movie and on the TV show House. I just lost all respect for him by his going to Washington to drink Obama's Kool Aid. Too bad!
Your entire respect for a person is solely based on their opinion about Barack Obama?
I mean, it's fine if it is, that just really surprises me.
Kal Penn's opinion I could care less about. You miss the entire point. He has now volunteered to help Obama systematically tear down the the system that this country was built on. He is moving us towards socialism or something worse and it is not acceptable. I have never seen a candidate who lied to the public as much as he did while he was running fot the office. Had he shown then what he really planned to do, he would have been defeated in a landslide. A slightly more than majority at the time were unfortunately too lazy to search out the truth based on Obama's past voting records. His response to Joe the Plumber should have been enough to dump him!
What's much more telling and disturbing is that Obama's new Department of (In)Justice has now hired its FIFTH staffer from the ranks of lawyers who formerly represented the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). The RIAA is anything but democratic and transparent, and its lawyers have all demonstrated a willingness and ability to drink that Kool-Aid. How can we expect any good "change" from the Obama administration when it hires people like that to enact justice? Whose brand of justice, I wonder?
