Anger can bring out the worst in anyone. Having a gun at hand during moments of rage can lead to tragedy. Luckily nobody was hurt in any of the following incidents that involve people brandishing and firing their firearms in the midst of outbursts:
The Winston Salem-Journal reports on a North Carolina road rage incident that ended with shots fired:
Aggressive driving, vulgar hand signals, a gun and a pipe resulted in three men having a bad Monday. The incident started on Interstate 40 in eastern Davie County and ended west of Mocksville after one man fired a warning shot near a pickup truck because he thought the truck’s driver or his passenger had pointed a gun at him during a road-rage incident, authorities said. There were no injuries.

The Bonney Lake-Sumner Courier-Herald reports on another road rage incident, this one with two armed drivers:
Police in Bonney Lake were called to a road rage incident when the two parties involved brandished firearms at each other… The driver of the car backed away from the SUV and then reached into his car and lifted a red blanket off of a shotgun and stated “I have a gun too.”
And the Associated Press reports on a Wisconsin man who opened fire on his television after watching the performance of Bristol Palin on Dancing With the Stars:
Authorities say a 67-year-old rural Wisconsin man enraged over Bristol Palin’s “Dancing with the Stars” routine blasted his television with a shotgun, leading to an overnight standoff with a SWAT team. A Dane County Sheriff’s detective says in court documents that Steven Cowan, of the town of Vermont, felt Palin was not a good dancer and was only on the show because of her famous mother. They say Cowan loaded his shotgun and blasted the TV before turning the gun on his wife, who escaped.
