Criticism of Barack Obama reached a new (and some might argue disturbing) level today when Fox News political commentator Glenn Beck accused the president of being a "racist" and having a "deep-seeded hatred of white people." Interestingly, during the same interview Beck seemingly contradicted himself by saying: "I'm not saying that Obama doesn't like white people."
Fox News says Beck is entitled to his opinion. "Glenn Beck expressed a personal opinion which represented his own views, not those of the Fox News Channel," SVP of Programming Bill Shine told TV Newser. "And as with all commentators in the cable news arena, he is given the freedom to express his opinions."
What are you thoughts? Did Beck go too far? Is he right? Should Fox News reprimand him in any way?
