George Bush’s Daughter Barbara Supports Gay Marriage

| by

Since George W. Bush is now out of office, I don’t expect his daughter, Barbara Bush, to pull a Cindy McCain and retract her support of gay marriage which became public through her participation in a campaign  fighting for New York to legalize gay marriage.

A bill to legalize marriage for same-sex couples was defeated in the state in 2009.

It turns out President Trump's budget has $2 trillion error in it:

In a brief video for New Yorkers for Marriage Equality, the 29-year-old resident of Manhattan says: “I am Barbara Bush, and I am a New Yorker for marriage equality. New York is about fairness and equality. And everyone should have the right to marry the person that they love.”

Miss Bush is breaking with her father on the issue because he once shamefully pushed for a constitutional amendment banning such unions.

But her mother, former First Lady Laura Bush, would seem to be more in line with her daughter. In an interview last spring Mrs. Bush said “when couples are committed to each other and love each other” they should have “the same sort of rights that everyone has.”
