George Clooney Receives 2010 Humanitarian Emmy Award

| by

Julianna Margulies had the honor of presenting the fourth Bob Hope Humanitarian Award to George Clooney at the 2010 Emmy Awards.

Clooney has been a driving force behind remarkable TV events including "America: A Tribute to Heroes," "Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope," and the "Hope for Haiti Now" concert. Clooney has used the power of television to raise money where it is needed most.

Clooney was his charming self, and brought up a good point – that bad behavior sucks up all the attention of the press. The people who really need the spotlight aren’t getting the attention they need.  Clooney offered to combine the two and have a waldrobe malfunction (sounds good to me).

Clooney requested that we figure out a way to help keep the spotlight burning on the heartbreaking situations that continue to be heartbreaking long after the cameras go away.
