Gary Coleman Didn’t Want Plug Pulled

Some shocking new revelations have come to light today over the death of Gary Coleman.
Legal documents unearthed by TMZ reportedly show that the late actor specified he did not want to be taken off life support, should the situation ever arise.

The documents, signed by Coleman in 2006, and submitted by ex-wife Shannon Price as she fights for control of the star’s estate and his remains, state: “I want my life to be prolonged as long as possible within the limits of generally accepted health care standards,” according to TMZ.

A tick box labelled “Choice Not to Prolong Life” was left unchecked by the star.

Price authorised doctors to switch off Coleman’s life support machine last month. In court documents she maintains she was “forced” to pull the plug, but doesn’t explain why. Could well be that Coleman had gone past the point of no return, but this has yet to be clarified.

-- Coleman’s death certificate has been released, and it states that he and Price were still married.

-- His cause of death has been listed as “closed head injury,” complicated by “chronic renal failure.”

-- Price has spoken out about those tasteless snaps of Coleman on his deathbed. She points the finger of blame for the release of the shots at the feet of a “close family member”.

The plot, as they say, thickens…
