By now, everyone knows Poe's story. Ridiculous Combine performance. Ho-hum collegiate career. Risky pick.
DT, Mississippi State
(pick came via trade with Seattle Seahawks)
The Eagles knew that they wanted Cox all along, and they did what needed to be done in order to get him. Probably a safer pick than Poe would have been.
WR, Notre Dame
Floyd is a great player, but it's a little surprising that Arizona didn't go O-line here.
(pick came via trade with Dallas Cowboys)
Has everything you need physically to succeed in the NFL. Most had him going in the 20s, though. Might be a slight reach at this point.
DE, West Virginia
(pick came via trade with Philadelphia Eagles)
First truly surprising move of the night. Huge reach by Seattle.
DE, North Carolina
Rex Ryan knows what defensive talent looks like, and Coples has plenty of it. Should be a great fit on this Jets team.
Second best corner in this draft. Not as great in coverage as Claiborne, but not as bad as folks are making him out to be either.
DE, South Carolina
Doesn't have some of the physical attributes you'd like to see from a pass-rusher, and that's probably why he fell all the way to this spot. Still, should provide San Diego's defense with a nice boost right off the bat.
LB, Boise State
Because the Bears didn't have any huge needs coming into this draft, they really could have gone in any direction. Wide receiver or O-line would have made sense, but so does this pick.
Wright is a good wide receiver, but the Titans really needed to upgrade the defense. Strange pick.
