You'll Never Guess What This Jewelry Is Made Out Of

Can you guess what this is? Hint: It's coming out of Detroit.
It's Fordite or Detroit Agate.
It's made of thousands of layers of repeatedly baked enamel paint from the days when cars were hand-sprayed.
It is now really popular for jewelry making.
Because, well, look at it.
All the beautiful colors swirling around create a beautiful effect
No two stones look exactly alike.
There are also many different types of Fordite.
Some are called "Color on Color" and result from opaque and metallic colors bleeding together.
Some produce more spiral-like effects due to the "drippiness" of the paint that originally formed it.
Despite the type of the stone, it is undeniable that it's a beautiful (and innovative) use of what had once been old paint.
