Coming off a big victory against Gus Hansen earlier last week, Galfond played over 1,000 hands of $500/$1,000 Cap PLO against Scott “URnotINdanger2” Palmer on Saturday.
Palmer had been one of the biggest winners in 2011 but Galfond put a stop to that raking over $600k from the online pro.
Prior to this week Galfond had been in the midst of one of his biggest downswings ever. He had lost a total of $1.7 million, mostly in the big 2-7 Triple Draw games, over the duration of the downswing.
Galfond wasn’t the only player to have a huge weekend.

The weekend wasn’t a complete write-off for Palmer either as he was able to stack poker phenom Viktor “Isildur1” Blom for over $114k on PokerStars.
Blom has lost over $200k since winning $600k in the early part of last week.
