Fort Hood Shooter Malik Hasan 'Mortified' About Going to War

President Barack Obama called it "horrifying" and U.S. House lawmakers paused for a moment of silence for those who were killed in a shooting rampage Thursday at the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas.

According to reports, Maj. Malik Hasan, a 39-year-old military mental health doctor, opened fire at the base killing as many as 12 people and wounding 31 others.

Born and raised in Virginia and the son of a Palestinian immigrant, Hasan apparently joined the U.S. Army after high school against his parents’ wishes. The New York Times says Hasan started having second thoughts about joining the military a few years ago after other soldiers harassed him for being a Muslim.

It would behove the reader to consider the information posted at www.thereligionofpeace.com
CAIR not withstanding, this website portrays the fact that Muslims are more likely than any other religious group to engage in acts of violence in support of their faith. The fact is this: Not all terrorists are Muslims, but more terrorist are likely to be Muslims than any other religion . I'll stick to that statement.

Sounds like he absorbed too much of what his comrades from the battlefield did and said. I'm just curious to know why two or more shooters were originally reported. That bit all but disappeared.
