Foodie Friday: Clementines

Hurry up! Time is running out – you don’t want to miss the chance to enjoy the oh so sweet, naturally juicy, and refreshing taste of Clementines. They are only in season until the end of February (that’s this month!). This delightful citrus fruit is definitely hands down a cuter version of the everyday orange, and it is also the smallest member of the Mandarin family. 83,000 metric tons are now imported annually, mostly from Spain and some from Morocco! But it is no surprise that Clementines have become a huge success in America – with their great sweet taste and boost of nutrition, who wouldn’t want to include them in everyday eating.

But just in case you’re still not fully convinced, here are more reasons why Clementines should be part of your diet for the rest of February:

CONVENIENCE: When you need a snack on the go look no farther than the Clementine bowl. Clementines are easy to peel, don’t squirt juice into your eye, and have nicely portioned segments easy for plopping right into your mouth. What a perfect snack!
