I commented on this blog to Dis-credit some one one for Publiclly slandering some one I know.

The Wife of my Jewish friend was attacked when trying to put her kid in the Car seat. The person who by the way nether he nor she knows addressed her by Name in front of a electronics store.

While it's a shame that some of us can find a reason to hate others, having feelings isn't a crime . Expressing those feelings is not a crime. Persuading others is not a crime. Everyone of us do these things. Just because you don't agree with those feelings doesn't make them a crime either.
However, commiting a crime is, well, a crime. And for all of these crimes, we have punishments. You can be held liable for slander. The fact that someone hates you doesn't make it worse. If one would really want to think this through, crimes commited against you by someone that supposedly loves you does more damage to you than those commited by someone that hates you.
It's time for the pity party to end. Grow a pair and fight back.

In reading your response to bhall I was hoping to find what you were wanting. Are you trying to garner support for something more organized than one man helping his friend? Are you wanting more people to go to this site to confront this person?

I have many times debated the constitutionality of the Hate Crimes Bill. It is amazing how much difference in opinion there is on this issue.
Technically the bill is unconstitutional, however, I feel strongly that there are situations that warrant a harsher penalty than others. The Matthew Shepard death was proof enough to me that it was needed.
On the other hand it is hard for me to hope that the bill will make a difference for future crime .
There is actually a story on this website about a young Puerto Rican boy who was lured into an alleged sexual situation and then beheaded because the man so hated gays . He stated that he hated gays and that was the sole purpose of this horrible crime. You can look it up and there too you will see that even with this admission there are people who blatantly deny that it is a "hate" crime.
My comment was first and foremost a statement about how this post had been ignored or at least not commented on by those who cannot see the need for a hate crimes bill .
Obviously you have a great deal of emotion involved in this situation. It is sad that this is not a unique situation and others are also "unimportant". The worst part is that just like a lot of other crimes, until two or three people become victims of the perpetrator nothing is really done.
