What theories are you buying into? What are you doing that your friends are telling you *have* to do? That you *have* to do 30 minutes of cardio? That you *have* to do weights before cardio? That you *have* to lift weights to get to fit?
There are hundreds (and more) fitness theories all claiming their way is the only way. And to be fair, there are a lot of good solid strategies that have super results DEPENDING on what you're trying to do. The strategy for a bodybuilder and a marathoner are very different. The strategy for losing weight and getting lean have some important differences.
So set your goal - muscles? Strength? Weight loss? Endurance? All? Be clear on what you're trying to do. You don't go somewhere you want to go and only kinda-sorta knowing how to get there. You map it out, and get directions. Sift out what people tell you you *have* to do and find out what you *need* to do.
