'Fast Five' Director Justin Lin: We're Making No. 6 in Franchise

Fast Five just came out this past weekend and it has already been confirmed for a sequel. Fast Five’s director, Justin Lin, has said from the beginning that he is hoping for a sequel to the new movie. He told USA Today:

“After this big weekend, we’re going forward. It’s pretty much 100 percent. It’s going to happen. At five, we’re just hitting our stride. We’re growing. People want to continue this journey.”

Lin also directed the previous two films. The latest film is the fifth of the series and stars Paul WalkerVin Diesel, and Dwayne Johnson.

Fast Five was Hollywood’s biggest debut so far this year, taking in $86.2 million over opening weekend.

I guess we can’t blame them for wanting to make a sixth one!
