The second half of The Walking Dead season 4 returns in a couple of weeks, but there are a number of spoilers floating around to keep fans occupied until then.
“We started the season pretty hopeful and pretty optimistic,” executive producer Robert Kirkman said recently. “We’ll open our last half of the season pretty bleak.”
Kirkman added, however, that the show will be a little more hopeful by the season’s end.
The cliff hanger ending in December suggested that Rick’s injuries during the prison battle will need a lot of attention from Carl. Unfortunately, it seems that the duo didn’t escape with any medical supplies when they fled the battle.
Carol is expected to return at some point, according to Kirkman, though there is no definite return date. Rumors suggest that she might also meet up with Tyreese, who doesn’t know that she killed Karen and David.
Additionally, three new characters will be introduced during the show.
“We’ll be with them on the road and on the run,” Kirkman said. “They’re bound to encounter new people."
Kirkman mentioned that the new characters include Abraham, Eugene and Rosita.
