Vogue Magazine Violates Their Underage Model Ban Twice
In May of this year, Vogue magazine editors at all 19 publications/countries took a pledge called the 'Health Initiative' which included not using models under the age of 16.
However, two editions of Vogue have broken the pledge. 15-year-old Ondria Hardin appeared in in Vogue China’s August issue and 14-year-old Thairine Garcia posed for pictures to appear in the December issue of Vogue Japan, reports wwd.com.
The owner of Vogue magazine, Condé Nast International, told wwd.com: “The Health Initiative banning underage models is very serious and we will reinforce it. We apologize for the error that took place in China. We will do everything possible to prevent future errors.”
