Vince Vaughn was in New York yesterday filming scenes from his new movie The Delivery Man. Wait til you get a load of this premise. The Delivery Man is an American remake of a French Canadian (excuse me, Quebecoise) film called Starbuck. it concerns a man who has donated the sperm that has fathered hundreds of children. Some of them have decided that they want to meet him, putting him in the middle of a class action suit. Another wrinkle is of course the fact that the man can’t commit to his long-time girlfriend…wait for it…who is pregnant. The director of the original, Ken Scott, is directing this version as well.
At 42, David lives the life of an irresponsible adolescent. He coasts through life with minimal effort and maintains a complicated relationship with Valerie, a young policewoman. Just as she tells him she's pregnant, David's past resurfaces. Twenty years earlier, he began providing sperm to a fertility clinic in exchange for money. He discovers he's the father of 533 children, 142 of whom have filed a class action lawsuit to determine the identity of their biological father, known only by the pseudonym Starbuck.
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
The Delivery Man costars Cobie Smulders, Debi Mazar, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Pratt and Britt Robertson (Cherry). It’s got a due date of October 4, 2013. You’ve been warned.
