We have a brand new tv spot for Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful that ask’s the question, “Which Witch is Which?” with Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams as the witches in question, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda respectively. We know from the 1939 flick with which we are all familiar, that Glinda is the Good Witch of the North, that leaves either Evanora or Theodora as the witch who gets the house dropped on her and and the other as witch that Dorothy eventually melts. But which witch is which?
This clever, colorful tv spot won’t answer the question but it’s fun nevertheless (below).
“When Oscar Diggs, a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot – fame and fortune are his for the taking – that is until he meets three witches, Theodora, Evanora and Glinda, who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity – and even a bit of wizardry – Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.”
Oz: The Great and Powerful with James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff, Abigail Spencer, Ted Raimi and Bill Cobbs, will open on March 8 in the US and the UK. You can keep up with the film via FB, Twitter and the official site.
