As you may or may not recall, Paramount pulled G.I. Joe: Retaliation from this past summer’s lineup because they decided to convert the thing to 3D. (It will now be released in March.) Dwayne Johnson has said that they’ve also shot new footage as well (and the rumor is those scenes give us more of Channing Tatum-tot. Probably a smart move given his continually rising popularity. No one seemed happy that he dies in the first ten minutes of the sequel.)
A new international trailer has just appeared on line but while there is a bit of new footage, it doesn’t really have more Tatum-tot than the last one, so we’ll see.
G.I. Joe Retaliation begins when Cobra spy Zartan (Arnold Vosloo) has most of the Joes assassinated. The remaining Joes band together to strike back, enlisting the aid of the original Joe, played by Willis.
The film also stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA , Joseph Mazzello, Walton Goggins and Ray Stevenson opens on 27th March in the UK and March 29 in the US Check the rest of our coverage here.
