For the first time in the show’s history, the couples are performing new dance styles that their competitors have chosen for them.

Kelly Monaco danced a contemporary style dance with her partner, Val.

Judges Comments:  Len: Of every couple in this season you are the biggest revelation. Paula: you did a beautiful, amazing job. Bruno: your dance was the hardest. you did it beautifully, emotionally charged, deeply on: Oct 15, 2012 filled. Carrie Ann: what makes it amazing is to be truly in touch with your raw emotions. Some of the moves were beyond your ability but that took courage.

Judges Comments: Carrie Ann: Everyone is outside of their comfort zone and we know that and applaud that. It was really good choreography. Len: Apolo was fantastic. Paula: professionally you are always hardest on yourself. Kudos to you. Bruno: Apolo you did a great job.
