Video: Batmobile Goes on Sale for $620,000

| by Michael Allen

Casey Putsch of Putsch Racing Designs is selling a replica of the Batmobile from 1989 film ‘Batman’ for $620,000 on eBay. Putsch says that his Batmobile has 365 horsepower and is able to run on jet fuel, just like the Batmobile in the comics. The caped crusader’s car also includes digital avionics and a touch-screen iPad with 3G.

The turbine powered Batmobile was given the "People's Choice" award at the 2011 Ault Park Concours d'Elegance in Cincinnati (see video).

The 1989 Batman film was directed by Tim Burton and starred Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The series had several sequels, each worse than the previous one, but the Batman franchise was finally revived by director Christopher Nolan.
