Alec Baldwin wasn't at the Emmys on Sunday night, but still managed to occupy some of the press. He had originally been slated to be in the Emmys opening, but dropped out of the sketch when Fox executives censored a News Corp. joke about the phone hacking scandal. Baldwin went on 'Access Hollywood Live' to talk about the controversy (video below).
Baldwin said he thought News Corp. might have a sense of humor about the scandal, but when they didn't, he asked that his bit be removed from the sketch. His part was replaced by Leonard Nimoy, who apparently kept it on the straight and narrow.
The interview then dissolved into numerous lame jokes about Shweddy Balls ice cream as the 'Access Hollywood Live' hosts talked with their mouths full.
