Actor R. Lee Ermey claims he was fired by Geico Insurance for ranting about President Obama destroying the country and trying to impose socialism, during a Toys 4 Tots fundraiser in Chicago 2010 (video below).
Ermey said during his rant: "The economy really sucks. Now I hate to point fingers at anybody, but the present administration probably had a lot to do with that. And the way I see it, they’re not going to quit doing it until they bring this country to its knees."
"We should rise up and stop this administration from what they are doing, because what they are doing is destroying this county. They're driving us into bankruptcy so that they can impose socialism on us, and that's exactly what they are doing and I am sick and damn tired of it."
Ermey, who played an angry drill sergeant in the 1987 film 'Full Metal Jacket,' also played a psychiatrist in a 2010 Geico commerical.
