Lionsgate has sent a video (below) of some of the members of the cast of Twilight: Breaking Dawn – pt 2 (although not the big 3) as they greet fans waiting in line for a chance to see the panel for the final Twilight film at Comic Con.
While the black ribbons are obviously for the fan who was killed while waiting in line (to be honest, she was killed after being hit by a car when crossing a street. She was there because she was waiting in line for the Hall H panel.), although no mention was made by the makers of the video nor by the cast themselves. Jackson Rathbone is heard to say “we’re going to go surprise a bunch of fans who’ve been waiting in line” which tells me this was a last minute PR move because of the tragic death of the 53-year-old New York woman (whose identity has not been released). The ribbons were made by other fans waiting in line. They have also set up a memorial fund via Give Forward.
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
“On July 10, 2012 we lost a member of the TwiFandom to an accident. All funds will help her family pay for funeral expenses. Please donate!”
Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, said in a statement that they "and the entire 'Twilight' community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan [Tuesday] due to a traffic accident during the hours leading up to this year's convention in San Diego. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim's family and friends. She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H."
