South Carolina Police Arrest 'Elsa' In 'Frozen' Stunt (Video)

Police in Harlan, Kentucky, posted a fake alert on Facebook earlier this month, warning citizens they were looking for Elsa from the Disney film "Frozen," saying she was responsible for the recent wave of cold winter weather.

The police department wrote:

"All points bulletin!!! HPD has issued an arrest warrant for Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song 'Let it Go!' As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend her alone."

After the posting went viral, the police department in Hanahan, South Carolina, "arrested" an actress dressed as Elsa for allegedly freezing a fountain outside city hall, noted WCIV (video below).

According to The Huffington Post, the actress, costume and pictures were provided by Sakalas Photography and Glass Slipper Productions, which does parties.

Police Chief Mike Cochran said Elsa was released by a judge who sentenced her to community service.

The actress playing Elsa, Courtney Fazley, claimed it was really Jack Frost at work.
