New TLC Reality TV Show 'Sex Sent Me to the ER' (Video)

| by Michael Allen

TLC, the same cable channel that introduced Honey Boo Boo to the American public, is airing a new reality series, beginning on Saturday, that focuses on real stories people of who have been injured during or immediately following sex.

“Sex Sent Me to the ER” doesn't show actual sex, but rather simulated re-enactments of intercourse that ended in bodily injury (video below).

According to the New York Post, “Sex Sent Me to the ER” will feature a grossy overweight male virgin (440 pounds) who accidentally slammed his first lover's head through a wall and rock singer Cash O’Riley having a stroke during intercourse.

Another lovely moment includes a man who broke his penis during a threeway with his wife and mistress, who got into a fight at the hospital.

Also featured is a woman who suffered orgasms for two hours after sex and a man who claimed he broke some bones while washing his windows, but was actually cheating, according to his wife.

On, Dr. Manny Alvarez claims that this new reality show will actually “glamorize” sex injuries:

Shows like this are stupid, reprehensible and just plain disgusting. How can our society support such a stupid and violent depiction of sex? These days, it’s common to hear of people engaging in sexual acts that place their partner in danger. I’ve seen these injuries in the ER, and they are no joke.
