Hurricane Arthur has been pounding the East Coast this week.

The weather has been so bad that Baltimore TV station WMAR temporarily lost video after a lightning strike on Thursday evening, noted MediaBistro.com.

Weatherman Mike Masco was giving his forecast when the picture went black (video below).

Masco told the audience that the building had just been struck by lightning. Seconds later, the video returned.

"I felt that through my body. That was a weird sensation," said Masco.

ABC News reporter Matt Gutman also fought the effects of Hurricane Arthur while reporting from North Carolina last night.

According to Mediaite.com, Gutman was explaining how rough the storm was and how thousands of people had lost power.

Gutman finally decided to seek cover at about the same time the wind seemed to blow him off camera (video below).
