A sequel to one of the dumber movies in Hollywood history may be getting some cameos from a couple of pretty smart guys. Apparently the script for “Dumb and Dumber To,” the sequel to 1994’s “Dumb and Dumber,” calls for appearances from scientist Stephen Hawking and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly may have decided they wanted to include Hawking after D&D star Jim Carrey recently helped out with a documentary about the scientist.

During the film, “Hawking,” Carrey shares his thoughts about the legendary thinker. “He’s willing to teach people in whatever way he has to teach people. You can’t take yourself too seriously no matter how intelligent you are or how important the work you’re doing is,” Carrey said.

Moviehole originally reported on the cameos:

Got the word this week that the script has some doozie appearances in it from the likes of Stephen Hawking and Mark Zuckerburg, creator of “Facebook”. With a convention said to be one the main settings of the comedy sequel – which reunites Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as their dimish characters from the 1994 comedy – one can only assume that’s how and where Harry and LLoyd cross paths with the visionaries. Makes sense to have a couple of ‘Smart’ guys in a ‘Dumb’ movie too, right?

None of these cameos have been confirmed by anyone associated with the project at this time, The Inquisitr reported.
