During 'The Colbert Report' Tuesday night, host Stephen Colbert reported on the gay marriage case before the Supreme Court and the "gay swarm" of protesters who have descended in Washington D.C., which Colbert called "Gay-Mageddon" (video below), reports ColbertNation.com.
"Read your bible, which says marriage is between one man and that man's rib," Colbert explained.
Colbert quoted Justice Samuel Alito who said same-sex marriage “is newer than cell phones or the Internet.”
“Yes, and remember, it was 30 years before everybody had cell phones,” Colbert responded. “What’s the hurry, gays?”
Colbert also claimed that gay people were tricking Republicans into supporting gay marriage, such as Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), by infiltrating their family via birth, reports Mediaite.com.
Colbert did praise Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), who said in a March 20 interview, “I’m not gay. So I’m not going to marry one,” for holding the line.
“Suck on that, gays,” Colbert said. “Saxby Chambliss isn’t going to marry you. Ergo, you don’t get to marry anyone.”
