A Star Wars X-Wing spaceship built from more than 5.3 million Legos touched down for a visit on Thursday in Times Square in New York City (video below).
The toy ship is the largest model ever made by the Danish toy company Lego.
According to AFP, the spaceship weighs almost 46,000 pounds and was built by 32 people in 17,000 hours.
“I built pretty big things with Lego, but this is the biggest ever,” said Lego master builder Erik Varszegi. “It’s a life-size version. That means the same scale it was built for the film.”
The X-Wing model was in Manhattan to promote the premiere of “The Yoda Chronicles” on the Cartoon Network next week.
It was flown from the Czech Republic in three parts, which were put together in New Jersey before being brought to New York City.
The X-Wing will stay in Times Square until Saturday before going to the Legoland California Resort near San Diego.
