'Skyfall' Passes $1 Billion Mark, Biggest Bond Film Ever

Skyfall, the new James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig, is the first 007 film to earn more than $1 billion.

Directed by Sam Mendes, Skyfall grossed over $289 million in the U.S. and more than $710 million internationally reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Only two other movies have managed to hit $1 billion mark in 2012: The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises,'earning $1.51 billion and $1.08 billion.

Skyfall is expected to earn still more, as it has its release in China in 2013.
