Ricki Lake once weighed 260 pounds, but has discovered the perfect plan to shed the pounds. The 43-year-old says she's slimmed down considerably in just three weeks of competing on 'Dancing With The Stars.'
"I lost more than 13 inches in a month. It's crazy," Ricki told Ellen DeGeneres on today's 'Ellen' show. "The Derek Hough diet is the best. It's hardcore."
"They say [Dancing with the Stars) is the hardest thing you will ever do and you're like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've done hard: I had my baby in my bathtub at home' and yet we work out all day long. We are sweating all over each other!"
She recently told Us Weekly that she has also lost 15 pounds: "I am really getting in great shape. I will be wearing less and less clothing the smaller I get. I am feeling more comfortable in my own skin."
Ricki managed to drop a few inches before the show even started, due to the four to five hour rehearsals each day: "I'm a little self conscious of my arms and my back fat, but they're trimming down really quickly. So I think the longer I'm in the competition, the better I'll feel about my body."
She told People that she typically begins the day with oatmeal or an egg white and vegetable omelette for breakfast, gazpacho and a chicken breast for lunch and turkey meatloaf and salad for dinner along with a bit of mashed potatoes.
