Heavy D died almost nine months ago, but we haven’t seen the last of him yet.

On November 8, 2011, the 44-year-old rapper and hip-hop artist died from a blood clot in his lung. He had suffered from heart disease and had a deep leg vein thrombosis, both of which is believed to have contributed to his death.

Before his untimely death, Heavy D had been working on a film called H4. He not only shot the film—a modern take on Shakespeare’s Henry IV—but starred as Archbishop Scroop.

The release of the film has finally been announced and Heavy D fans can expect the film to arrive in theaters in spring 2013.
