A new CBS/Vanity Fair online poll reports that 22% of Americans think Bruce Springsteen should write a new US national anthem to replace 'The Star-Spangled Banner.'

Coming up in second place with 19% was Dolly Parton and in third was Stevie Wonder with 18% of the vote.

Next was Bob Dylan with 11%, film theme composer John Williams at 10%, Jay-Z at 8% and 5% voted for Madonna.

The poll was a telephone survey of 1,026 adults nationwide between April 27 and 30.

'The Star-Spangled Banner' has been the national anthem since 1931.
