Penn State Bans Neil Diamond Song 'Sweet Caroline'

Neil Diamond’s 'Sweet Caroline' will not be played during Penn State football games this year because of one line in the song.

The Altoona Mirror reports that Penn State decided not to play the tune during games this year due to the Jerry Sandusky scandal and because the song includes the lyrics “touching you, touching me.”

The song was written by Neil Diamond for Caroline Kennedy.

Sandusky was convicted in June of 45 counts of sexual abuse of 10 boys and is awaiting sentencing.
