'Paranoia' Film Stars Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Liam Hemsworth

| by I Need My Fix

As I’ve previously stated, Robert Luketic’s Paranoia has a great cast; a cast so chock full of bold-faced names that if they were filming a dog food commercial, I’d probably buy a ticket. We showed you some pics from the set last summer while filming was going on in Philly. Today we have a couple of first official images from the finished product. We get a look at Harrison Ford (looking a lot like Alan Arkin) with both Gary Oldman and Liam Hemsworth.

Paranoia centers on a young man who makes the wrong-headed decision to fund a lavish retirement party for a co-worker with company funds and , of course, gets caught by his boss.  To avoid prosecution for embezzlement, the young man agrees to infiltrate and spy on a rival company and steal information on a top-secret project.

The official synopsis:

“In this high-stakes thriller, Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth) is an ambitious junior technologist trying to climb the ranks of telecom giant Wyatt Corporation. But after one costly mistake, Adam is blackmailed by ruthless CEO Nicholas Wyatt (Gary Oldman) to turn corporate spy by going to work for the firm’s top competitor, which is run by Wyatt’s old mentor, Jock Goddard (Harrison Ford). Adam soon finds himself delivered into prepackaged success, living his fantasy life of old-world boardrooms, private clubs, exotic cars, and all the spoils of Manhattan bachelorhood.  However, behind the scenes, he is merely a pawn in Wyatt’s power play, and must search for a way out from under his boss, who will stop at nothing, even murder, to gain a multi-billion dollar advantage.”

The rest of the stellar cast includes Amber Heard, Josh Holloway, Richard Dreyfus, Julian McMahon, Lucas Till and Embeth Davidtz.

Paranoia now has a US release date of October 4 (moved back a week from the original September 27). No word on the UK yet.
