Grand Theft Auto Update Lets Users Have First-Person POV Sex With Prostitutes

| by Dominic Kelly

Popular video game Grand Theft Auto is stirring up controversy with their recent update that allows users to do anything from a first-person perspective – including having sex with a prostitute.

In the past, the user has been able to have sex with prostitutes and strippers, but the camera angle is far away and the sound is pretty much subdued. With the latest installment of the game, however, players are able to pick a prostitute up off the side of the road and have sex with her from a first-person perspective. The sex even includes incredibly realistic sounds, and the user is also able to beat the sex worker up if he so chooses.

“Picking up a prostitute in first person in Grand Theft Auto V is a legitimately upsetting experience,” tweeted user @AlecJKM.

Rob Nelson, Animation Director for Grand Theft Auto 5, told gaming site IGN that the new first-person experience was designed to make players feel like everything was more realistic.

“It's a very intense, in-your-face experience… literally,” Nelson said, according to the Daily Mail. “Obviously, we felt like one of the most compelling things you could do to make an experience people have had before feel different was the new first-person mode.”

Rockstar, the company responsible for Grand Theft Auto, explained further their intent with making first-person gaming possible for players.

“This new mode gives players the chance to explore the world of Los Santos and Blaine County directly through the eyes of their character, revealing all the world's glorious details in an entirely new way,” said Rockstar.

Not everyone is excited about the new update, however.
