Public relations genius Miley Cyrus has a new album coming out. Like most of her young Disney counterparts, she is a pretty average singer, so she has compensated for that lack of Ariana Grande-ness by being as entertaining as possible.
Some people have taken her attempts at being entertaining in stride, recognizing them for the gimmicks that they clearly are. Others are weirdly offended by them, for reasons that aren’t entirely clear to anyone – including probably the offended parties.
Either way, Cyrus’ new album, ‘Bangerz’ is set to drop on Oct. 4, and if her ability to hit No. 1 and it will provide an interesting window into what specifically sells records these days.
Meanwhile, in the lead up, Cyrus has been utilizing her massive social media influence to publicize her latest project. Among her recent tweets:

“I always knew I never wanted this. I never thought it could happen. You acted like you wanted this but then you led me on… Oh you broke my heart. I told you I was weak for love. Then you went around & did what you wanted to do. Now I’m cryinnnnnn.”
Cyrus will host Saturday Night Live this weekend, where she’s also scheduled to be the musical guest.
