It is not news that Mary J. Blige owes the IRS a lot of money, but it is news that her financial troubles have quadrupled.

TMZ recently learned that Blige is now facing a federal tax lien of $3.4 million. They say she did not pay her all of her income taxes for 2009 ($574,907), 2010 ($2,203,743.53) and 2011 ($647,604.60).

The grand total for her taxes due is now $3,426,255.43.

But she doesn't only owe federal taxes. She also owes New Jersey. The state says she owes them $901,769.65 in taxes. She is also being sued for defaulting on a $2.2 million bank loan and her charity is facing a suit claiming it took out a $250,000 loan and did not pay it back.

Her rep said, "Mary has been and is continuing to work with her new team to resolve all these issues as quickly as possible."
