Dancing With the Stars seems more like The Real Housewives then a dance show these days.
Once again Maks is in the center of the controversy – only this time, Maks was just standing there smiling. After suggesting Len Goodman retire a few weeks ago, the bad blood is still there. This time, it was judge Carrie Ann Inaba that started the nastiness.
During the judges’ critiques of Hope and Maks’ Argentine tango, Maks was taking the insults like a man. Or at least he seemed to be. With nothing but criticism for Hope and Maks, Maks was smiling. Apparently, Carrie Ann didn’t like the way Maks was smiling when she started to criticize their sloppy lifts and called him out saying,
“That’s fine Maks, you can go ahead and keep smiling”
Maks looked visibly stunned, as did his celebrity partner, Hope Solo. Hope told the host, Brooke Burke,
“They’ve wanted to get us off since day one…..Maks was smiling because we should be smiling…..So Carrie Ann, thank you, Maks was smiling. This is my partner. Finally, we’re happy!”
Maks tried to stop his partner from making his previous mistake, but the damage was already done.
Carrie Ann was visibly disgruntled when she gave the pair an 8.
Backstage, Maks opened up about Carrie Ann’s comment. “F— Carrie Ann, next question,” Maks jokingly told reporters. He then continued by saying,
“I think Carrie Ann has an issue,” he said. “I don’t know what it is but I would love to know so we can address it. As of now, I have no clue what the hell she was talking about.”
Things in jest are said best? What do you think?
