Leonardo Dicaprio is making plans to make his debut as a director, inspired by fellow actor-turned-director Clint Eastwood.
The 37-year-old actor told GQ magazine for Australia that he wants to try working behind the cameras as soon as possible. He also wants to approach the art of directing in the same way as Eastwood.
He explained, “Yeah. I do [want to direct]. And if I did direct, I would try to have the same no b******* approach to it as Clint [Eastwood] and his crew have.”
He claimed that Clintwood’s filmsets are “no frills” and “it’s a small, tight-knit crew.”
Dicaprio has already produced movies such as “Orphan,” “Red Riding Hood,” and “The Ides of March.”
At the moment, he’s filming “The Great Gatsby,” starring alongside Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan.
