With both a royal and a Kardashian baby being born this summer, much of the media’s attention has been focused on pregnancy and what happens to mothers in the limelight after they give birth.

Kim Kardashian, who gave birth June 15, has yet to appear in public leaving many to wonder if she will not make her big reveal when she has lost the baby weight. A source close to the family told People magazine Kim has been dieting and working hard to get back to her pre-baby body.

"She's happy with the way she looks but she knows she still has a way to go to get her pre-baby body totally back," the source said.

Unlike Kim, Kate Middleton faced the public just one day after giving birth, and her appearance has sparked much discussion about how Kate will lose the weight as Middleton’s post-baby tummy was obvious and showing through her dress.

Kristen Bell, who gave birth to daughter Lincoln in March, tweeted Friday that she’s “proud to sit out of the baby weight rat race.”

The 33-year-old actress told Redbook magazine it would be nice to return to her pre-baby size, but she could also accept her body as it is now, too, reports CNN.

"If this is where my body wants to be, so be it," Bell told Redbook. "I'm not going to make myself miserable for the rest of my life trying to get back to where I was before."

On Twitter Friday, Bell said welcomes the changes to her body after the baby, or what she calls her “Lincoln Leftovers.”

"I like my Lincoln Leftovers because they're proof I did something extraordinary," she tweeted. "I gave life to my new BFF & she gave me a comical amount of midsection skin."

Bell told CNN at San Diego Comic-Con, motherhood has been nothing short of amazing.

"She's my best friend," Bell said of daughter Lincoln. "She's 3½ months. Laying there is extremely cute to me. It's ecstasy for me."
