Jason Segel has kept himself busy over the years with writing, acting, puppeteering and playing the piano, but now he can add being a children's author to his list of jobs.

He just signed a deal with Random House to write three books for children named "Nightmares!" It follows a group of friends who learn it is important to face your fears.

"Ultimately, it's a story about learning that we can accomplish anything, as long as we are brave enough to try," he said.

He said he had the idea eight years ago, but didn't act on it until now. He enlisted the help of children's author Kristen Miller, who wrote "Kiki Strike" and "The Eternal Ones."
