James Gandolfini was reportedly planning on getting a new tattoo just prior to his death, as he stopped by an L.A. tattoo parlor earlier in the month. He told the tattooist he would return with a special order.
He visited T-Man Tattoo in Studio City on June 1. The owner, who took a picture with him, said Gandolfini was very excited about the tattoo he was planning.
While he did not tell the owner what he was going to get, he promised to return later for a full session. As he just moved into the neighborhood, he was likely scoping out good tattoo shops near him.
Gandolfini passed away on Wednesday after suffering from a heart attack at age 51.
