The bassist for acid rock band Iron Butterfly, Lee Dorman, passed away earlier today, according to TMZ.
Dorman was found dead in his Orange County, CA home. He was 70 years old.
An original member of the group, he played during their famous 17 minute recording of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida."
Police found Dorman at 10 AM sitting in his car.
The bassist had a history of heart problems, which eventually led him to retire from playing music.
Law enforcement officials believe his death to be of natural causes.
