Hit Song 'Friday' Forces Rebecca Black to Leave School

| by Michael Allen

YouTube singing sensation Rebecca Black told ABC News that her mother pulled her out of school because of the teasing she was getting from classmates due to her hit song 'Friday.'  Black said, "When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice ... Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'"

Black performed part of 'Friday' and 'My Moment' tonight on the TV show America's Got Talent (video below).

The controversial crooner will be homeschooled by her mother, who told ABC News that the move will help the 14-year-old focus on her blossoming career. Black's mother financed the song and its music video. When the video went viral on YouTube, earlier this year, it received around 167 million views, but received far more "dislike" votes than "like" votes.
