Gwyneth Paltrow Pays $10,000 to Attend Obama Fundraising Dinner

| by

Gosh, imagine how much fun it would be having Gwyneth Paltrow over for dinner? No wonder the Obama Victory Fund apparently charged £10,000 a ticket at last night's fundraising meal - they were probably all like 'shiiiiiiit, Paltrow's coming, now we need to import some Perivan llama milk and Yubari melon otherwise we'll never hear the end of it'. Still, at least it got her out the house so little Apple and Moses could watch some normal telly - earlier this week the actress was bleating on about she only allows Spanish or French television in her house. She's a regular hoot, that Gwynnie.

Anyway, here she is at the Obama fundraiser with Cameron Diaz, who was undoubtedly delighted to hear all about how much fun it is being a successful working wife and mother of two. Gwyneth's an inspiration, you know, Cam.

In an interview with InStyle, Paltrow explained:

“I haven’t starred in a movie since I was pregnant with my daughter. I can’t be away from home that long. I look for an interesting supporting part I can do about once a year. That’s the most I can manage.

“Some women can do it and that’s fantastic, but I can’t. You make choices as a wife and a mother, don’t you? You can’t have it all. I don’t care what it looks like.”

She was pregnant with Apple in 2004 and starred in Country Strong in 2010. Still, we guess everyone forgot about that, so let's not get pedantic...
