Green Day Frontman Billie Joe Armstrong Joins 'The Voice'

This could possibly be one of the happiest pieces of television news: Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day is joining The Voice as a mentor THR is reporting. He will join Christina Aguilera's team according to a tweet. Does this mean when she's too hung over to help out he steps in? I'm kidding,  I'm kidding. This is all part of the show's direction with an earlier announcement  that Rob Thomas (sha-wing) is joining Cee Lo Green's team,  Mary J. Blige to Adam Levine's team and Michael Buble (lock up your daughters) to Blake Shelton's team.

So much man meat, only a one-hour show.  Armstrong has been filming since Wednesday and says of the show:
